Epworth Kids Taste Test Ice Cream at Launch Party
The story behind Epworth Ice Cream is one for the ages. Most people don’t know the Epworth Children’s Home once included a fully operational dairy farm or that our Original Peanut Butter ice cream was a creative solution to an ongoing oversupply of peanut butter rations received during the Great Depression.
What was once a sweet, after-dinner treat is now a premium ice cream brand that donates 100 percent of profits back to Epworth Children’s Home. It’s a great story ice cream lovers appreciate, but what they really want to know is — how does it taste?
We put our ice cream to the test at our launch party this summer held at the Epworth Children’s Home. A panel of special guests — the kids of Epworth — had the honor of sampling all four flavors: Original Peanut Butter, Caramel with Caramel-Filled Chocolate, Vanilla Bean and Vanilla Chocolate Swirl with Peanut Butter Cups. The verdict? Based on how many enjoyed seconds (and thirds), the ice cream earned an enthusiastic two thumbs up from the crowd. During the party, some even created new flavors of homemade ice cream in a contest to develop Epworth’s next flavor.
There’s more than meets the eye when it comes to Epworth Ice Cream. When you help yourself to our delicious premium ice cream, you’re also helping the children of Epworth, too.
